It was tricky and we had to say it to Mrs Sheridan- Smith. We used our Habit of 'Taking Risks'.
Well done everyone. I hope we win.

Talofa lava

Today was day 2 of Samoan Language Week. We are really looking forward to winning! We can't wait to meet the Vodafone Warriors. Today we had to practice saying "'O a mai oe?- How are you? and replying "Manuia Fa'afetai". We had to persist as we found it hard. Mrs Tollestrup found it very hard but we found humour and helped hot to practice. Well done team.

Today Alex did his narrative writing in chalk outside. Take a look .....

Today is wheels day for road safety week. Check us out.

Road safety

We learnt to not park on yellow lines. They need to park on the black road so we can be safe.
Today we have policeman Sarah, she is teaching us about road safety because it is road safety week.

We should not work on the grass verge because there might be glass in the grass so we need to work on the path closet to the houses.

Talofa Aiga

Remember that there are learning conversations going on right now !
Please pop in tomorrow between 3-7 if you have not already seen me.
It would be so lovely to catch up and tell you how amazing your child is. If you can't make it I will pop by this week sometime.

It was so lovely to see those parents who came tonight. Its so nice to see how proud you are of your children.

Well Done Sandra For getting a Mindful Award this week.
You took risks in your writing and it paid off. Well done.
Parents, remember assembly is now in the morning on Friday. Please come along.

Today we had Strike Percussion come and preform some of their cool as beats
Here are some videos of our time with them.
Check out the link for more videos:

"They were cool as" said Compton
"You were a cool dancer and drummer" said Latrell
"My favourite part was when Mrs Tollestrup had to go on stage and drum" said Chrysela
"I like the fire" said Charlie

 We were finding WOW

 They persist

They had to strive for accuracy to be this good.

Here are some people taking risks.

 They were very creative
They played music with fire - WOW

This week we were so lucky to get our new furniture.
We now have more space and our classroom looks colourful and tidy. It was very exciting.
We then designed the new layout of the class. We all decided to try new things everyday to see what works for us.

We have 2x tall tables- These are for when you want to stand up and work.
4x  moon tables- these a sit down tables.
And 1x kneeling table because some of us like to sit on our bums or knees and work.

Take a look at our new classroom !

"Welcome back everyone" said Compton

Today we made a bubble mixture for writing. We each had a turn and we created the most amazing bubbles. We had to think flexibly because we used string for the wand and that did not work. Ella came us with a amazing idea to use rubber bands. 'It was so cool" said Blair.

Compton and Te Tawhao thought it was a great idea to use filters. It worked really well.

 Lesieli's bubble went really high

We had a treaty tree. We each did a autumn leaf to represent us. Our new rules are:
To respect each other and our classroom
Say Please, Thank you and Sorry
Do not bully
Use your Habits
Focus on learning and manage yourself
Be positive and mindful
