What a TOTALLY AWESOME DAY !!!!!!!!!!

Today we had our first swimming lesson at Manurewa Pools, We are so lucky to get free community lessons. Take a look at our day.

We got new gears from Kidscan, Thank you so much. We are now warm and dry and it has been a bit hard on us. Thank you so much to all that donate to Kidscan it is an amazing sponsor of our school.

We also  have two new class pets, Flash and Ruby. They are snails and live in our snail hut in our classroom. We feed them and give them water. We are excited to watch and learn from them.

This morning the IA's had our own commonwealth games.
We played tennis, basket ball, javelin, egg and spoon and races. We did not win but we had a great time. We then came back into write about how to play the different sports. We wrote an explanation of the sport so others can play too.

Danny and Freedym even got to take their writing to Mrs Sheridan- Smith to read. Well done boys!

What a great week 1.
We had a Powhiri on Wednesday to welcome Mr Vasau. We are very excited to meet him. Here he is on road patrol.

We also welcome Tuko back to school. He went away for a term and we were so happy to see him pop back through the doors.

The commonwealth games started this week. We are researching Nigeria and will be rooting for them. They have already won a  bronze medal in weightlifting.

Its Maori Language week. The word of teh week is Apop. That means tomorrow in maori. I wonder what the word will be next week?
