Wow day 3 challenge.
 Check us out we are getting so good at Cook Island language.

Thank you to the Whanau that came in over the last 2 days.

Tomorrow we will be learning more about Cook Island language and focusing on starting a narrative in writing.

Don't forget we have our Te Tuhi Art Galley on Friday morning.

We are learning about Cook Island this week. 
Take a look at todays challenge and some topic we did too 







 Thank you to The Plant People for donating some plants for our garden. 
We had so much fun today digging and planting. We learnt how to plant a plant so it will not dye. 
You have to dig a deep hole. Then you need to take the plant out of the plastic. You need to be careful not to damage the plant. Then you need to put it int he hole and cover it with rich soil. 
We had a great time.

Learning Conversations

Cook Island Language week is this week
We are all entering in the language video challenge to win a Cook Island lunch and show.

We learnt that the Cook Islands are made up of 15 islands and there are no volcanos on the island. The island is fill off rocky caves, mountain and surrounded by beautiful clear sea.

What a TOTALLY AWESOME DAY !!!!!!!!!!

Today we had our first swimming lesson at Manurewa Pools, We are so lucky to get free community lessons. Take a look at our day.

We got new gears from Kidscan, Thank you so much. We are now warm and dry and it has been a bit hard on us. Thank you so much to all that donate to Kidscan it is an amazing sponsor of our school.


We also  have two new class pets, Flash and Ruby. They are snails and live in our snail hut in our classroom. We feed them and give them water. We are excited to watch and learn from them.

This morning the IA's had our own commonwealth games.
We played tennis, basket ball, javelin, egg and spoon and races. We did not win but we had a great time. We then came back into write about how to play the different sports. We wrote an explanation of the sport so others can play too.

Danny and Freedym even got to take their writing to Mrs Sheridan- Smith to read. Well done boys!
